THE GOAL
5FIVE is a French-based home equipment brand specializing in smart, functional home interior products. The client wanted to create a series of videos to promote the highlighted functionality of their chosen products, including: Glass Jar (Jarro), Glass Mould (KeepEat), Aluminum pan (Amovible), and a Stool (Retractable).
THE CHALLENGE
The biggest challenge for this project was that the clients wanted the video to lean towards an immersive, realistic 3D environment, with a single coherent 3D city environment. So if we approached it with software we normally use (like Blender or Cinema4D), the project would not meet the expected timeline since it would take ages to render one hyper-realistic object, not to mention the whole city.
My role in this project was to do the 3D animation with the 3D models provided by the client, so the Mighty Stone team and I didn’t have to do the modeling and texturing. I was in charge of 3 models: Glass Jar, Glass Mould, and Stool, while other members of the team handled the Aluminum Pans. The project was done with Octane Renderer in Cinema4D. The animations were kept simple but still dynamic to highlight the functionality and key features of each product.
